Entire gas system must be air tested.  System required to hold 20 psi of air for 15 minutes.

All gas lines must be approved for gas usage.  Black pipe is the most commonly used.  NO: PLASTIC, COPPER OR GALVINIZED PIPE will be approved.

All appliances are required to have an approved shut-off valve. 

Hot water tanks must be properly installed, which includes the following:

Must be vented with DOUBLE-WALL vent pipe.
Must be a minimum of 12 inches of metal waterpipe at the tank.
Must be a cold water shut-off.
TMP valve must be operational, with metal pipe to through the floor, or tank must be in a catch pan.

Customer must pay for a gas permit at City Hall.  Cost is $19.00
